Head in Thought

What may seem nothing to you, may mean something to me. So I'll place it here as a way for me to remember and, maybe, make sense of things. My name is Mario, and to those who stumble in, it's always nice to meet you.

Hippolyte Bayard: Photographic noise

Found via Conscientious. Interesting too how this — in the age of the proliferation of digital media — applies to a lot of things. Like (in my case since I work in this field) magazines & the printed medium. What will happen when these analogue stuff cease to exist? Will it really be a good thing? For printed matter, they say it would benefit the environment since paper still mostly comes from trees (not to mention the chemicals & associated waste products produced by the printing presses). Then again, even the most noble of intentions can sometimes get warped. I remember reading somewhere how if all data would just be in bits with no tangible form, there’s this big danger of a black hole of knowledge suddenly being formed if these bits would suddenly get lost & be irretrievable.
